+ making collage cards when I should be doing uni work.

+ books lent to me by a friend and a beautiful decorated envelope he made.

+ my yard is 90% concrete and 10% garden, lots of chalking space. my cat rolled in the chalk and had colourful patterns all over his fur.

+ i was interviewed for an article about cyclists in launceston a few weeks ago and in today's paper i appeared, squinting at the sun. they misspelled my surname and spent two paragraphs on my appearance and one sentence on my cycling, but it's still fun to have been included. i am about to go to work and am worried everyone will have seen it, haha.

+ today, in my part of the world, it is adeline's birthday and she has invited everyone to dress up and attend her birthday party. adeline is a darling and i am so glad the internet led me to her. happy birthday little french lady!

Congrats on having been featured in amagazine! :D Your outfit that day was stunning!
ReplyDeleteyou look so lovely sweetie, what a shame that I don't get the Launceston newspaper this way :(
ReplyDeleteThose collage cards are amazing! Every time I stop by here I am amazed at how talented and creative you are. I think that's very exciting you are in the paper! (Annoying they misspelt your surname, that's journalists for you!) You look lovely too.

those cards are beautiful
ReplyDeleteI'm very wary of journalists. Earlier this year, I was interviewed for the local newspaper with the other American exchange student in town. My Swedish teacher saw it and had us read it in class. At first, I was just embarrassed because they had chosen a very large, very bad picture of us which took up most of both pages, but once I started reading, I realized that the girl who wrote the article had mixed up our quotes and made up some of her own as well! We sounded like jerks. :( I spent the next few weeks disguising myself any time I went to town so that no one would recognize me (or at least trying REALLY hard to do so...I'm not sure how much good it did).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think you look lovely up there with your bike! I really like how your dress seems to match the colors in the spokes.
That's cute that your cat rolled in the chalk. I haven't riden a bike in a very long time.
ReplyDeleteBut making collage cards is so much more fun than work......they look fantastic. And the article looks fun too.
ReplyDeleteB - I tried to read the article online in the Launceston newspaper. Had to sign up for an account but then needed credits (AU $$) to read it! I think the article makes you somewhat of a local celebrity. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love your collage cards they are so beautiful! I need to find myself some good size card stock like yours. Art store trip :)
ReplyDeleteYour back yard must be a master piece! I love drawing with chalk but being in the city I only have the side walk :(
Congrats on the feature. I think it is funny how they focused on your appearance and not your wicked bicycle!
Hope you have a wonderfully creative week!
Much Love,
Crystal
I ♡ YOU.
