Monday List | To Watch

Have you seen anything lately you'd recommend? I intend to bunk in this Dec 25 and watch some movies on my to-watch list. My sister and brother are in NSW and my parents are in Japan and I've given most of my gifts already, so I'm going to chill out next weekend.

I've been on holidays for the last 5 days in Hobart. I have been a bad blogger, but I make no apologies as I had a grand old time away. I hope to do some kind of mini-post about it. I hope you're having a lovely festive season wherever you are. I will be working the next 5 days straight. Remember to be nice to people retail at this time of year! We're not machines! So many legs of ham! So many turkeys! So many Christmas puddings and pavlovas! So many badly glad-wrapped plastic plates of oysters that leak all over the conveyer belt! I actually really enjoy working in retail at this time of year. Guess I'm a masochist!

I really liked 50/50. It is emotional but it can be funny too.

I love The Station Agent and I really liked 50/50 (but be prepared to cry); I haven't seen the rest, I don't think...

Oh, and I always enjoyed working in retail at this time of year - the days past so much faster when you're run off your feet with panicky customers!

midnight in paris was very cute, very woody allen. :)

the two most recent flicks i've seen are:
i) descendants, which was perhaps one of the most depressing films i've seen. lots of ugly crying on my part.
ii) martha marcy may marlene, which was a decent movie, but the ending left me a bit annoyed at first. after some *deep thinking* i can appreciate the ending.

The only one I saw on your list was 50/50. Liked it.
I really liked The Descendants, My Week With Marilyn, and I highly recommend The Artist!

100 ideas by keri smith: 1. go for a walk. draw or list things you find on the the sidewalk.
2. write a letter to yourself in the future.
3. buy something inexpensive as a symbol for your need to create, (new pen, a tea cup, journal). use it everyday.
