I have been meaning to take more photos of the progression of this growing belly of mine but I'll admit I have been putting less and less effort into my appearance as the weeks progress. In the last two weeks I feel like this belly/baby of mine has doubled in size. Comfort is foremost! Lots of stretchy things and high waisted jersey skirts - nothing particularly photograph worthy. After these photos were taken C and I went out for our there-abouts-pretty-much-four-year-anniversary. We tend to just celebrate some time in February and both having the night off work, we decided to eat at our favourite Indian restaurant and we went to see Silver Linings Playbook at the cinema. I so enjoyed it. I don't give out five stars for films very often, but I think this one gets it from me. We had a lovely evening. What a lovely four years we've had together.

Mini rant: I know it's meant only in jest, but my work colleagues walking up to me when they see me and shouting "oh my god you are so fat!"/"you look like you're overdue!"/"you're freaking enormous!" is kind of starting to grate on me. I think commenting on pregnant womens' size is fine, but should possibly be done with more tact? Maybe it's just me? I guess it just makes me feel more like a hideous beast than a glowing baby vessel! I'm not really even phased by the walking-up-and-touching-a-pregnant-woman's-belly-without-asking issue, just the verbal stuff! Ha. Fifteen weeks to go!

Girl you are beautiful. All those people can eat it cause you are the prettiest lady all the time.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore that dress and it looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteEeeek Bianca you look so, so gorgeous! I adore this outfit and I cannot get over how you only have 15 more weeks to go! I'm so excited for you <3 <3 (and they are definitely being rude - not just you!)

You look gorgeous! I can understand why the comments would grate - so uncalled for.
ReplyDeleteYou look so gorgeous! I'd be bothered by people saying how big I am too!

xx
I always hated the comments, but to me were totally opposite, I was 78 months and they were all "waahhh, you're so skinny, you don't eat well, the baby will be sick" "8 months? it doesn't show at all" and I got so angry, because yeah, I was skinny, but I ate so much and nutritive, plus I was feeling terrible with 8 months, I was so tired that telling me I didn't look like it made me want to kill them, because it surely felt like it...
ReplyDeletePeople need to mind their own business most of the times.
You look fantastic, REALLY! <3
You should be proud of what an amazing thing your body's doing! Don't listen to the people at work; you're beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing. What a fabulous baby bump. I am hopeless around pregnant people because my natural reaction is "oh my gosh your baby is getting so big" but know that women can get offended so usually go with, "you look so beautiful and pregnant". No doubt it can be insulting or annoying but those people around you probably just are fumbly with their words a bit like me and can't get over the fact you're cooking that little squid in there!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!
ReplyDeletePeople are tactless.
you look gorgeous! Great outfit, grat hair colour, grat smile!
ReplyDeleteYour pregnancy makes you beautiful!
you look abasolutely beautiful! i work with a lady who is pregnant and she is so sick of being told she is mazzive, i dont think people meant to be insulting they just dont think about their words.
ReplyDeletei really want to see that movie - i might try and convince Brendan to go with me tomorrow. have a lovely weekend xx
But but but it feels like you only announced it yesterday! Oh time flies! You look lovely!

i think you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYou look so gorgeous! I'm 30 weeks now and I can so relate to stretchy comfy things as well as high waisted skirts :) I was actually so put off by the comments from people that I wrote a whole preggie rant about it on my blog. People say things to pregnant ladies that would be totally unacceptable to say to anyone else.
ReplyDeleteOh man! Firstly, I don't think I've said congratulations, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! Secondly, I used to get those comments too, and it really bugged me. Particularly being pregnant at the same time as other girls who didn't get those comments, but more of the 'you-look-perfect-with-a-perfect-wee-bump'. I felt like a heffalump! Anyway, it's NOT TRUE!! You have a perfectly sized bump, and you look GORGEOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd just to prepare you, once you have bubba, all the comments will be directed at baby's weight... What the?! It's a baby for godsake!!!
You look great! Happy Valentine's from all of us in Oxford ( we have finally moved but our new house is nowhere near as nice as yours!!!)xxx
