a lot of similar things would be on my list as well. and i love how you said 'money permitting', haha; cause i'm in the same boat. a lot of things i couldn't really afford to lose cause i cannot afford to replace them. my cameras are a big part of that, esspecially because i inherited 90% of mine from my father and grandfather they have sentimental value as well.

Without listing body parts or the intangible ("my sense of humour", "my health", "stable government", etc):

1. My pen (pretty much the most important tool in my job and also for doing crosswords and writing journal entries)
2. My laptop (onto which is stored many of my photos and most of my music)
3. My apartment (without which I guess I'd be living with my parents, in my 30s!)
4. My art collection, especially the original pieces (Brandi Strickland, Marc Johns, Sean Morris, Dawn Tan, Creepy, etc)
5. My photo albums
6. My jewellery, especially that handed down from aunts, great-aunts, grandmothers and my mother
7. My Wusthof knives, which make food preparation a pleasure
8. My water filter jug, which makes my water yummy instead of reeking of chlorine
9. My many journals (mostly unfinished!)
10. My super-luxurious pillow cases, which make sleep even more of a pleasure
