C sounds like my kinda dude! animals really do sense the good people and how Dexter came running...literally to his rescue. well this story of your newest fur baby seems like a very serendipitous beginning to say the least. meant to be 100% and i'm happy to hear he's got a new warm home with people who love him to bits!

What a cutie! That would have been a tough decision to make, but I think you did the right thing.

There is the possibility that he escaped from his house and got lost for a few days, that's enough time for a little kitten to get skinny and flea-ridden. In case there is a sad family wondering where he has got to, talk to your local vet. A responsible family would have contacted the vet to report the lost kitten.

If he is claimed it will be hard to let go, but the original owners would be so grateful that you took care of him.

If not, he is such a lovely addition to the Jagoe kitty family!

My mum found an abandoned kitten around a year ago. Her existing cat sulked for a while but soon got over it. Now the little one is a fully fledged member of the family. Good for you looking after the poor mite :) I fully intend on having a house full of cats when I've finally settled down :) xxx

Awe, this post made me happy! :D I can't stand the idea of stray animals; I get teary-eyed just thinking about those poor little things wandering in the streets. I applaud you guys for having such a generous heart! :D

So adorable! He's totally a kitty twin to my cat, Booth (also named after TV series character). He's a tuxedo cat and has the little patch of black on his chin (his "goatee"). So happy for Dexter to finally have a nice and warm home! :)

I love this!!! Good on y'all for saving that poor little guy. I'm sure if he was lost, his owners would have put out lost and found ads, etc!

Jen and I haven't rescued any of our fur or feather babies from the street, but we did from the animal shelter, etc. Love all of them! <3

We have two kitties and a cockatiel right now. Our dream pet family is our two kitties, our cockatiel, another cockatiel for him to play with, a dog and either a ferret or rabbit. Yes, it's a lot, but we love animals!

Oh how exciting! Im the same way were pretty much the neighbourhood cat pervs. Everytime we see a cat we run over to snuggle it :)
